Dr. Terrance Green is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. His research examines the relationship between educational leadership, schools, and neighborhood-communities, with a focus on racial and educational equity. His writing has been published in several journals, including Teachers College Record and Educational Administration Quarterly. During our conversation, we discussed the role that school and district leaders play in extending the traditional physical boundaries of a school to build partnerships between schools and communities. We also talked about the impact of gentrification on the schooling system.

I love how this conversation emphasizes connecting schools with the broader community. It made me think of when I struggled to balance coursework and community projects, wishing I had some online class help to manage deadlines. Seeing leaders extend the boundaries of schools reminds me that support, whether through mentorship, services, or collaborative networks can make challenging tasks more manageable and impactful.
I read the episode about Dr. Terrence Green talking about extending the traditional physical boundaries of schools, and it was cool hearing how leaders are thinking about schools working with communities and not just inside classroom walls to help all students learn and grow. Sometimes last semester when I had way too many midnight study sessions, I needed online English communication exam help while writing papers and listening to podcasts like this one, and that made me realize balancing school and learning from new ideas helps me stay curious and calm.
